Little Wrens Nursery and Pre School is a newly established setting that offers premium childcare from birth to five years old. We are situated at the former doctors’ surgery behind the Wrenthorpe Village Hall in the heart of Wrenthorpe. This provides us with an ideal location for families of children who attend the local schools and with close proximity to junction 41 where access is available to the local motorways M1/M62
Contact UsWe offer high quality learning in a free flow environment. Learning will take place both indoor and outdoor using a wide range of activities to support children develop holistically, based on children's interest. A more structured learning approach will take place in the Pre-school room, emphasis still being placed on the child and their individual needs.

Each of our rooms are specially designed and continuously reviewed by our team to ensure your child is safe and well cared for in a fun filled, stimulating environment.

The manager has passed her Degree in Early Years , whilst all the room leaders have relevant level 3 qualifications and experience in childcare. What makes Little Wrens unique is the passion and dedication that the staff have towards their roles, ensuring that children feel safe, secure and loved which is the platform for learning to begin.

Little Wrens Nursey & Pre-school offer a welcoming, loving and caring environment where each child is valued as an individual. We strive for excellence, providing high quality care alongside educating in a child centred learning environment. Children are the heart of the setting and our role is to help them blossom, enabling children to become independent and confident. Children will learn through play with emphasis on promoting exploration, curiosity and creativity.

WHAT WE OFFER
We offer childcare from 7.30am until 6.00pm 5 days a weeks, open 50 weeks a year and are closed all bank holidays We take children from birth to 5 years old.
We provide high quality care, meeting the babies personal needs and routines. Parents/Carers are asked to provide all feeding and changing essentials for their child including, nappies, wipes, nappy creams, changing clothes, bottles and formula/breast milk. Personal needs of the child is in the heart of this room but alongside plenty of sensory learning opportunities will take place.
The toddler room focuses on developing children’s personal, social and emotional skills alongside communication and language and physical development. The toddlers environment enables them to explore whilst learning.
The pre-school room is were the more structured learning will commence. Children are introduced to phonics and other adult led activities in a fun and friendly environment. Emphasis is still placed on play based learning, whilst challenging and extending their individual learning needs. We strive for children to leave our setting confident, independent and ready to continue learning.
We provide a wide range of activities to suit each child both indoor and out. We try to ensure that children have access to outdoor space in all-weathers to increase their experiences. Activities are focused towards the child’s interest to ensure we can maximum learning opportunities. We love getting messy and so do children. Story time and singing is incorporated into our daily routine along with circle time and free flow activities.

Marie has recently established Little Wrens Nursery and Pre School and is looking forward to making it a thriving, safe, fun filled environment for children to develop. Marie has recently completed her degree in Early Years and has 6 years’ experience in childcare settings. She also holds paediatric first aid, DBS has DSL training, is our Designated Safeguarding Lead and holds a Safer Recruitment qualification. Marie is also mum to two young active children whom she is very proud of.
